The following are international missionary and local outreach ministries that MVCC supports through its general budget and the actions of its members.

 

Campus Crusades for Christ, East Asia, Community Ministry

 

This is a couple who are under the umbrella of Campus Crusade. Their name and location are withheld for security reasons. They are active in leading seminars in parenting, marriage and pre-marriage counseling as well as small group Bible studies.  They have recently launched a program designed to equip Christian college grads for a lifetime of serving Christ by expanding their view of the gospel to include every aspect of their lives.  They also do leadership seminars in an attempt to equip local leaders.

Casa Hogar Belen Orphanage

 

Casa Hogar Belen is a non-profit Christian based organization located outside Tijuana. It was founded in 1977 by Antonia Barajas. The facility is home to as many as 80 children, most who have been abandoned, abused or neglected.

 

The orphanage is 100% supported by a few churches, and individuals from those churches. They receive no funds from the government.

Church Development Fund - Endowment

 

Church Development Fund, Inc., (CDF) is a California religious nonprofit corporation that is affiliated with the Christian Church and the Church of Christ religious fellowships. CDF's principal function is to generate funds to finance the purchase, construction and improvement of church related property, buildings and capital expenditures; to refinance existing debt incurred for these principal purposes and to provide for operational needs. CDF has also consulted with church organizations regarding capital constructions projects, church planting and financial operations. Funds for CDF's loan program are primarily generated through sales of debt securities to qualified members, including members and participants of church organizations and from the sales of loans.

CDF operates an endowment fund through Stadia International that MVCC supports. Stadia uses the interest from the fund to support new church plants.

Grayden and Judy Jessup – STADIA INTERNATIONAL-JONATHAN PROJECT

 

The Jonathan Project has been founded to find, support and mentor church planting leaders in unreached areas so that they become sufficient without American support. The Jessups provide input developed through decades of experience as a pastor family and leadership roles at Hope International University and Stadia International church planting fund through Christian Development Fund (See above).

Child S.H.A.R.E

 

Child S.H.A.R.E. (CS) exists to equip and encourage local faith communities to follow the Biblical mandate to care for the Orphan.  The Mission of CS is to seek out, support and enhance local congregations, families, and community volunteers to provide foster and adoptive homes for abused and neglected children. CS is a bridge-builder between the faith community and foster children who desperately need homes.  Over the past 25 years, CS has expanded from one church to over 400 church relationships throughout Southern California. In addition, their services have expanded into Oklahoma, New Mexico and most recently, Indiana.

Financial Planning Ministry

 

Financial Planning Ministry provides financial planning seminars for individuals and families in financial crises. It also assists in coordinating family financial planning that supports the local congregations.

Indonesia Christian Mission

 

Bob and Jan MacLean have been evangelizing in Indonesia for 35 years. They have worked in Central Java and are now in West Java, on the outskirts of Jakarta. Their evangelistic endeavors have reached out to Animists, Mystics and Muslims.  The ministry includes directing a Bible College for training evangelists, supervising church planters who are Indonesian nationals as well as book translation and publishing.  “Our Mission is to plant churches by training and equipping Indonesian evangelists, preachers, pastors and elders.”

Mary Germain International Ministries

 

Worship/Prayer with Action     

 

Richard and Rev. Mary "Gerri" Morris, Co-Founders of MGI Ministries, serve the Body of Christ by encouraging worship and prayer, with action through mobilizing, educating and networking. MGI builds bridges of communication with leadership in the church, marketplace, education, government and media. MGI is working alongside other ministries to open a Prayer Office on site in Washington, D. C. This will be a place to minister to U. S. government leaders and leadership from other countries.  This on site office in our nation's capitol will also give another opportunity to build a bridge of unity between Christians and Israel

 

One of the KEY divisions of MGI Ministries is a focus on children at risk, called LITTLE LAMBS PRODUCTIONS. It distributes lambs to little ones that help bring emotional healing to children. It also coordinates an internet data base of prayer warriors that pray for children at risk throughout the world. Their missionary travels have been to other states within the U.S. as well as to other countries such as Japan, London and Israel, ministering the truth of Jesus Christ to children and youth as well as adults.

Pinehaven Christian Ranch and School

 

Pinehaven is an 1100 acre "kid'n cattle" ranch & school in Western Montana about 100 miles south of Glacier National Park.  It is a home for children who need an alternative living situation.  They receive no government support.

This family works under New Missions Systems International (NMSI) as church planters in Indonesia. Some of this work also includes disaster relief assistance to areas and the establishment of training operations. Again, the name and location is withheld for security purposes.

Pittman - The Seed Company Organization

 

As regional coordinators for “The Seed Company, Virgil and Diane Pittman work to develop prayer support teams for Wycliffe Bible Translator projects through the world. They have spent many years in the role of home country support for Wycliffe field translators as they return for leaves and similar activities.

Bill & Susette Manassero - Child Hope International.

 

Child Hope International is raising approximately 50 former street children in Port au Prince, Haiti. Through empowering these children to break the cycles inherent in a culture ravaged by poverty, voodoo, Aids and political corruption, CHI is assisting in rising up the next generation of Haitians to change Haiti.  A recent addition to supporting the community as a whole has been the development of a community feeding program administered and operated by the children of the home to feed physical food and the Bread of Life to 80 at risk children in the surrounding neighborhood.

Cindy is a new Long Term Intern, assisting in the preschool program, administrative duties and being the "Mom" image to the boys at Child Hope International in Haiti (see above).

Mercy Home, Mexico, Peru & India

 

Mercy Home establishes homes for orphaned children in India, Peru and Mexico. The idea is to establish a traditional home type environment for children who do not have a home or parents in conjunction with a local church congregation.

Orange County Rescue Mission

 

The Orange County Rescue Mission offers a way out to the homeless and the hurting. They will embark on a journey that takes them away from an old life of poverty and sorrow, toward a place of hope and contentment. They help the homeless with training, guidance, food, shelter and health care. They could not make this journey alone. They help homeless people pass to a new life where they can achieve whatever success means to them…victory over addiction, a place to call home, and newfound self-confidence.

Lighthouse Educational Ministries

 

Lighthouse Education Ministries (LEM) originated out of a heart's desire to bring help, hope and healing to those incarcerated and parolees/probation individuals to be self-sustaining upon their release. It was established to empower men and women through the knowledge of God, life skills, education, work projects and job placement to enable them to live a victorious life with stability, accountability and consistency.

Giving Children Hope

 

Giving Children Hope is a Buena Park, California based organization providing materials and logistics for local and International missionaries and outreach programs to poor children. The Services provided include food programs for Orange County homeless children, micro industry and medical clinic equipment for international missionaries and disease and disaster relief containers to on site ministries throughout the world.

The Kids Mentoring Program - Robert Taylor

 

The Kids Mentoring Program is a Mission Viejo Christian Church ministry as a part of Orange County Mentoring Alliance working with the Orange County juvenile court system to provide mentors for troubled or endangered children.

AMOR

 

The MVCC High School Group goes to Mexico once a year and builds homes for families through the AMOR Ministries organization. AMOR coordinates with in-country churches to empower members to be able to buy a home and the youth groups from the USA to spend a week building a home with the families in Mexico.

Royal Family Kids Camp

 

Royal Family Kids Camp assists churches on a national and international basis to develop, organize and run summer camps for foster children. The statistics from the 2008 season show 6,586 foster children and 8,156 volunteers participated in 164 camps in 37 states and 9 foreign countries. The letters show that thousands of hearts have been shown the love of Jesus to abandoned and abused children since 1985.

Philippine Christian Mission Church Planting

 

Philippine Christian Mission (Dr. Chris and Carole McKinney) plants churches in the Philippines, conducts graduate seminary training for local church ministers and provides counseling for Missionaries in the Philippines. Chris is a second generation missionary to the Philippines.

Phil Dark – Provident World Ministries

 

Phil Dark is the acting president of Provident World Ministries which ministers to orphan children and widows through a community based model in Honduras. The development includes homes where children are raised in adopted families and are a part of a community that includes a school, community center, medical clinic and

community outreach. They also do research and education in best practices models of orphan care.

Kim Daniels (The World Race)

 

Kim acts in various administrative roles for The World Race (TWR). TWR serves the poorest of the poor in third world countries and other areas while attempting to empower the next generation of Christ followers in 1st world countries through organizing teams of young North Americans to travel on “a race” around the world and serve with local missionaries for one year. TWR works with a mission organization that mobilizes and supports missionaries in more than 200 countries, and specifically places high emphasis on initiating this generation
